No, this version is not compatible with Windows 8.1. On the developer's page, a new product is released and it's called Sage 50 Accounting. If you visit the website, you will see that the product comes in multiple versions, each configured to meet certain requirements. Visit the website to find more about this new product. On the side note, it's actually Peachtree Accounting only that is renamed and upgraded to reflect latest changes in finances and accounting business.
A customer paid a deposit in December of 2014 for a job that we just completed and invoiced in May, 2015. How can I apply that deposit to the invoice? The deposit doesn't show up in the receipts window.
Answer by
Stephen Prastman
You can apply the deposit as you normally should using the standard procedure. Choose Tasks and click Receipts. Enter Customer ID, then enter the check number in the Reference Number field. Add the date in the Deposit Ticket ID field. Enter the payment method in the Payment Method field and the account to which the money will be deposited. Use the Cash Account field. Enter the amount, then select the invoice where is should be applied to. After the procedure completes, click Post and that's it.
Unfortunately, this program has been discontinued. This means that there is no way to download a language pack for it. However, Sage developer continued developing a program that is similar with this one. You can find more information about it on the official website. To be noticed, that the new software doesn't come in bilingual version. This means that it doesn't have the functionality that you require.
Can I print checks of different dimensions (paper size)?
Answer by
Stephen Prastman
Yes, you can print checks on different sizes, but in order to do that, you will have to change the Printing Preferences. Simply start the Peachtree application and go to File > Print. You should have a check loaded while doing this. While you are in the Print menu, go to Preferences > Layout and change the paper on the right drop down menu. Accept the changes and continue with the printing through the Print button. If the application uses custom templates to print the checks, you should adjust the size of those templates as well. This can be done within the application's interface.
